Nowadays millions of people all over the world travel every day. They travel to see other countries and continents, modern cities and the ruins of ancient towns. They travel because it is the best way to spend their holidays and to have a rest. People may travel either for pleasure or on business. When people travelling they discover new things, different ways of life, meet different people, try different food and listen to different musical rhythms.

There were a lot of famous travelers and explorers in the past. We know many famous names such as Christopher Columbus, Ferdinand Wrangle, Ronald Amundsen, James Cook and others. As for James Cook, he discovered Newfoundland, both islands of New Zealand and the eastern coast of Australia. There are people who are fond of travelling even nowadays and Ellen MacArthur is one of them. She became famous after her sailing solo around the world in record time.

As for me, I don’t have a big travel experience. But, anyway, I can tell you about my most memorable holiday. It was the trip to Misovoe in Ukraine two years ago. It was fabulous! The view of mountains and sea is really exciting there! By the way, I started doing windsurfing there. I always choose a trip with my mother, so there has never been a holiday that disappointed me. To be frank, I prefer relaxing on the beach to sightseeing.

There are various means of transport. You can travel by plane, by train, by car; you can choose voyage or hiking. Each of them has its advantages and disadvantage. Of course, travelling by plane is the fastest, but it is also the most expensive. Travelling by train is one of the most popular means of travelling and it is also one of the most interesting, because of splendid views of the countryside. Voyages are very comfortable, but they are very bad for people who suffer from seasickness. Travelling by car is for people, who don't want to buy tickets and carry heavy luggage. Hiking is good for people who want to stop wherever they wish, but people, who like hiking, have to have excellent health. My favorite means of travelling is by train, because I enjoy picturesque scenery of our country, and it isn't very expensive too.

I would like to visit different countries in the future. I want to visit England, France and Italy, because these countries have their own rich history and culture, which influenced the development of the world. To sum it all up, I want to say, that travelling nowadays is one of the most interesting people's hobbies.
