The easiest and most obvious way - do not buy too much. Throwing out uneaten food, you damage environment twice. Initially, the additional emissions into the atmosphere are made to grow, collect and bring this food to the supermarket and store it here, and then - to get it out to landfill or to burn. Therefore, simply by buying only what you really need, and in the right quantities you are helping the environment.

Ethical shopping

Every purchase decision contains a moral choice. When selecting products moral preferences of the consumer launch the principle of "dollar voting," where the money spent on the purchase, are a kind of "voice" for the benefit of the product and its manufacturer.

Ethical consumption is distributed as a choice of goods and services, and the choice of companies that provide them. Depending on personal moral principles of the buyer, he can pay attention to the different ethical aspects of the company or product:

· воздействие на окружающую среду (использование атомной энергии; влияние на изменения климата; использование токсичные веществ);

· тестирование на животных;

· права человека (местного населения, работников; поставка товаров в вооруженные силы / продажа оружия);

· генная инженерия и т.д.

· the impact on the environment (the use of nuclear energy, the impact on climate change, the use of toxic substances);

· testing on animals;

· Human rights (local people, workers, delivery of goods to the military / arms sales);

· Genetic engineering, etc.

Ethical use of resources

Ethical use of resources is another aspect of ethical consumption. This category includes, for example, the use of alternative energy sources; although in this area users do not always have a choice. One of the possible measures to consumers could be the heat insulation of homes to save energy. This category also includes the purchase of devices with high-class energy efficiency, installation of counters for water, gas and heating.

Waste management

The issue of waste management can be resolved by the consumer at the stage of purchase. For example, buying products in biodegradable packaging or refusing plastic packaging for buying, ethical consumer can solve some of the issues associated with disposal.

In Ukraine, for the moment selective collection of waste does not practice at the municipal level, but there are collection points for recycling materials.
