Theme: Stages of development of dentognathic system: antenatal, postnatal. Anatomic and functional peculiarities of the oral cavity and the temporomandibular joint of newborn..
1. Relevance of the topic: Learning about the ontogenetic formation of the oral cavity are fundamental in the formation of systematic knowledge on antenatal prevention of dento-maxillary anomalies. A differential approach based on an understanding of the anatomical and functional features of the oral cavity newborn is required to determine medical care tactics of the first year of life, which development occurs physiologically, as well as specific care for children in the presence of congenital diseases of the maxillofacial area.
2. Learning Objectives Activities: Review with students the major internal and external factors affecting the embryonic stage of the fetus. Systematize the knowledge of the basic stages of embryonic development of the maxillofacial area of the fetus. Explain the main activities of the primary and secondary prevention of dento-maxillary anomalies in neonates and infants. To teach students to activities aimed at preventing the development of dento-maxillary anomalies.
3. The objectives of human development. Teach students the correct relation to children with congenital anomalies of dentition during the medical check-up.
