Terms of the competition and rules of participation

ARTKOMMUNALKA 2016

TOTAL AMOUNT OF GRANTS: 630,000

Application deadline – by 1 December 2015 (inclusive).

Participation in the competition is free.

The museum residency “Artкommunalka. Erofeev and Others” and the non-profit organisation “MUSEUM TOWN” are holding an open international competition among artists and writers to receive grants for the realisation of creative projects in the field of visual art and literature in 2015. Artists and writers who are prepared to create projects in an art residency in accordance with the terms of the competition are invited to take part.

The aim of the competition is to support the boldest and most radical creative proposals that are in keeping with the spirit and objectives of developing modern art and literature.

TERMS OF THE COMPETITION AND RULES OF PARTICIPATION

Projects that meet the objectives of the competition will be accepted for consideration.Artistic and theatrical projects in the spirit of “the culture of participation” that involve the local community and different groups of people in the creative work and are realised, among other things, in Kolomna’s public spaces are particularly welcome. Projects offering educational art programmes to children and adults are also welcome.

Applications must be submitted in Word format and sent to [e-mail]. The deadline for submissions is 1 December 2015 (inclusive) and the email must include the following text in the subject field:

GRANT. ART RESIDENCY [+ SURNAME OF PARTICIPANT] for artists

GRANT. LITERATURE RESIDENCY [+ SURNAME OF PARTICIPANT] for writers

Attachments to the application:

- illustrative materials (no more than 6 JPG files, the names of which must include the participant’s surname);

- a scanned copy of the applicant’s passport (JPG).

Please wait to receive confirmation of receipt from the administrators. Should you not receive a confirmation email, please resend your application and inform the administrator at the museum residency, Elizaveta Romanova, between 10:00 and 20:00, telephone numbers: [phone], [phone].

All applications will be considered by the competition’s judging panel. Reasons for the rejection of applications will not be given and applications will not be reviewed.

The results of the competition will be sent to participants via email no later than 15 December 2015 and posted on ArtKommunalka’s internet resources (vk.com/artkommunalka, facebook.com/Artkommunalka.Kolomna).

The competition WILL NOT SUPPORT projects aimed either directly or indirectly at inciting international conflicts, insulting the religious beliefs of members of any religion, lobbying the interests of political movements or parties, or promoting violence.
