INVESTIGATION OF ELECTRIC CURRENT INFLUENCE ON HUMAN ORGANISM.

The purpose of work:

– to acquaint with short theoretical information about disposition of inauspicious influence of electric current on human organism, its basic physical descriptions and to learn the methods of instrumental measuring and computations of these descriptions;

– to be accorded practical skills in determination of parameters of electric current, and also to learn the methods and order of first help assignment for victim from influence of electric current.

TASK

To study a character of hazard influence of electric current on human organism.

To dismount in mechanism of electric blow.

To define the influencing factors on human striking by electric current.

To memorise the current values that are determining the concrete results of electric current influence on man.

To know a human skin structure and from its electric resistance dependence.

To realise the factors and in what degree may influence on value of electric resistance of human body.

To be acquainted with scheme of cardio-cycle and in how current influence duration is associated with vulnerable cycle phase and with hazard of human striking.

To know the methods and order of first help assignment for victim.

To acquaint with principles of laboratory equipment.

To learn methods of measuring of basic physical descriptions and computations of necessary parameters of dangerous influence of electric current on human organism.

To measure a perceptible current, voltage of touch and to calculate a full human body resistance.

To deduce about sensitiveness of own organism to influence of electric current.

GENERAL METHODICAL DIRECTIONS

Contemporary aircraft are equipped by great number of devices and systems, that are supplied by electric current, and contemporary airports have the transformer sub-plants, emergency electric power stations of average power, ramified network of cable lines, hundreds of lighting and search-lighting facilities, tele-control and tele-signalling systems, ground systems. Technical maintenance of aircraft and airport electric supply is associated with unsafety of striking of aviation personnel by electric current.

The purpose of laboratory work is an acquaintance with short theoretical information about influence of electric current on human body, about basic physical descriptions of this influence, rate setting of named descriptions, and also receipt of practical skills on measurement and computation of influence descriptions.

Also special attention must be done on mechanism of electric blow and on factors, which determine human body striking by electric current. Main factor of hazard of striking is the current that passes over human body. It is recommended to memorise basic strength of current, at which a hazard arises.

It is necessary to clearly know a human skin construction, from which elements of electric resistance are built. It is important to memorise, at which conditions this resistance plays protective role, and when it appears to be small for such role. It is necessary to know, what are the factors and in what degree may influence on value of electric resistance of human body.

It is necessary to study how does hazard measure depend on type of influencing current and how is duration of its influence associated with vulnerable phase of cardio-cycle and with danger of striking at all. What are the most effective methods of first help for victims and what is an order of such help assignment?

Before execution of laboratory work it is necessary to learn short theoretical information about influence of electric current on man, to acquaint with laboratory equipment, methods of measuring and computation. Further it is necessary to arrange tables with obtained data. Measuring must be taken after coordination of work structure with teacher and receipt the right to put in work laboratory equipment.

Grounding on obtained results each of the students must calculate full electric resistance of his body and to deduce about sensitiveness of own organism to influence of electric current.
