At the Customs.
Customs officer: Good- afternoon, Madam. Can I see your passport, please?
Traveler: Yes, of course. Here you are.
Customs officer: How long do you plan to stay in Britain?
Traveler: Two weeks.
Customs officer: What is the purpose of your visit?
Traveler: I’m a tourist. I’d like to go round your country to learn your traditions and see the sights of London.
Customs officer: I see. We have a lot of things to look at. Is that your suitcase?
Traveler: Yes, it is.
Customs officer: Could you put your suitcase on the table?
Traveler: Certainly, here is the key.
Customs officer: Can you open your suitcase for me?
Traveler: Sure.
Customs officer: Have got anything to declare?
Traveler: No, nothing special.
Customs officer: Let me see… That’s all right. Thank you very much, Madam. You can close your suitcase now. Good-bye.
Traveler: Good-bye.
