11.3. 1 If handover and takeover are carried out by wagons and there is handover and takeover yard to be established in industrial or harbor station which is set separately from the station of the other party, in case of lateral layout, the handover and takeover yard should be set on the outer side or at one end of the shunting yard;in case of other types of arrangement,when railway station and industrial or harbor station are joint stations of lateral layout it may set the handover and takeover yard between the shunting yards of two stations.

11. 3. 2 The place for handover and takeover operations shall be determined respectively according to the handover and takeover patterns used, management method adopted for special railway siding and the type of station arrangement.

1 In case of cargo handover and takeover pattern adopted,the handover and takeover operations of cargoes to/from enterprise or port may be handled on the loading and unloading track within enterprise or port. When enterprise or port has its own mechanized loading and unloading equipment set in industrial or harbour station, the cargoes to be loaded should be handled with handover and takeover operations on loading track while cargoes to be unloaded should be handled with handover and takeover operations in the yard before unloading equipment or unloading track.

2 In case of wagon handover and takeover pattern adopted while the two stations are established separately, it shall set handover and takeover yard in industrial or harbour station to handle handover and takeover operations; when the special siding between the two stations are controlled by railway department, and there is no handover and takeover yard to be set in industrial or harbour station,the handover and takeover operations should be handled in the receiving and departure yard in industrial or harbour station.

3 When wagon handover and takeover pattern is adopted and the two stations are

established jointly, the place for handover and takeover should be determined according to following conditions:

Din case of lateral or longitudinal arrangement,the handover and takeover should be

handled in handover and takeover yard;if there is no handover and takeover yard to

be set,it should be handled in the receiving and departure yard of enterprise and port

station.

2) In case of bidirectional mixed type arrangement, there may be no handover and

takeover yard to be set,but to handle handover and takeover to the other party in

its own receiving yard;if conditions are permissible,may be in the receiving yard of

the other party.

11. 3. 3 The track connection of railway special siding in industrial or harbour station shall

avoid the mutual interference with train running on railway and operations in station, the

location for track connection shall be set at the other end opposite to the place with heavy

wagon flow to/from industrial or harbour station so as to facilitate the placing-in and

taking-out of enterprise or port wagons and create conditions for through transport in

groups,in case of track connections of multiple railway special sidings, it shall carry out

uniform planning to be introduced to the same side of shunting yard in industrial or harbour

station in a centralized and incorporated manner. The concrete point for track connection

should be determined by following principles :

1 If it is to adopt cargo handover and takeover pattern with arrival and departure of
whole train set,it should be connected with receiving and departure yard;if there are large
quantity of sorting and marshalling operations,it should be connected with shunting yard or
marshalling and departure yard; in case of less freight volume, it may be connected with
shunting track,secondary lead track or other station tracks.

2 If it is to adopt wagon handover and takeover pattern, it shall comply with
following stipulations:

1) In the lateral type industrial or harbour station where the two stations are established
separately, if there is a handover and takeover yard, tracks shall be connected in the
handover and takeover yard, which has conditions to link each yard; when the special
siding between the two stations are controlled by railway department, tracks should be
connected in the shunting yard; in case of whole train set arrival and departure, tracks
should be connected in the receiving-departure yard.

2) In the lateral type industrial or harbour station where the two stations are established jointly,
the arrival and departure track in enterprise station or port station shall be connected to
handover and takeover yard, which has conditions to link each yard. When the two stations
constitute a bidirectional mixed type arrangement,the track to enterprise or port is connected
in the marshalling and departure yard of enterprise station or port station; the one from
enterprise or port is connected in the receiving yard of enterprise station or port station when
place for handover and takeover is its own arrival yard,if the place for handover and takeover
is the arrival yard of other party,it is connected in railway arrival yard.
