2. Find the following word combinations in the text and learn them:

3. Reproduce the situations in which the above suggested word combinations are used. Record the situations (points 3,5,8,13,14). Consult the model.

Model: to give one’s consent дать свое согласие, разрешение на что-либо

Jack was going to propose to Gwendolen. Algernon said that he would not give his consent because he thought Jack a liar.

Model: to amuse oneself развлекаться; проводить приятно время

When Algernon asked Jack what had brought him to town, his friend answered that he wanted to amuse himself.
