Exercise 1. Complete the sentences using the Present Continuous Tense

or going to.

Exercise 2. Make these sentences interrogative using the question words in

brackets.

1. We are waiting for the arrival of our suppliers (who). 2. We are going

to eliminate excessive workloads (what kind of). 3. They are offering

inexpensive consumer goods (what). 4. They are going to open three

retailer shops in this region (where). 5. Their department is conducting

a SWOT analysis now (what kind of). 6. They are going to install an

Exercise 3. Make up sentences according to the model. Use the word

combinations given below.

Model: to ask questions — She usually asks questions. She is asking

a question now. She is going to ask a question tomorrow.

to speak at the meeting, to increase the wages, to redesign the reception

room, to promote new products, to complain about low quality, to pay

debts, to appoint a new supervisor, to explain a new technology

Exercise 4. Underline the appropriate form in brackets to complete these

sentences.

1. Our director (goes, is going) on a business trip tomorrow. 2. We

on our domestic market next month. 3. The receptionist (receives, is

Exercise 5. Find one mistake in these sentences and correct it.

this hotel? 5. We are waiting the arrival of the delegation from Japan. 6. Is

Exercise 6. Translate the sentences from Russian into English.

1. Мы собираемся послать группу сотрудников в наш филиал в

Германии в следующем месяце. 2. В настоящий момент она печатает

доклад. 3. Ваш начальник собирается уволить их? 4. Они не собира-

ются менять работу в ближайшем будущем. 5. Сколько дней вы со-
