James often (to write) to his parents, but still he (to miss) them greatly. Liz (to be) very glad to see the boy and (to think) that it (to be) the best surprise for her coming birthday. James (to bring) her a present. He (to give) his mother a very nice necklace. He (to choose) it at the jeweller’s. This night the family (to talk) a lot and James (to tell) all his news.
