Pyramids - ancient stone structures located in Egypt, which were built between 2575-2465 BC
Currently there are 138 pyramids.
Most of them were built for kings during the Old and Middle Kingdom period.
The most famous pyramids are in Giza on the outskirts of Cairo.
The largest Egyptian pyramid is the Pyramid of Khufu.To build this pyramid 100,000 people have used over 2,3000,000 stone blocks, each weighing 2.5 tons.
Pyramids are one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, because they geometrically perfect.
But, unfortunately, many pyramids are destroyed or are in the poor condition.
