ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR SYLLABUS

Organizational behavior (OB) is the study of how people behave in an organization. It is usually conducted on individual, group, and organizational levels. OB researchers systematically study structural characteristics that influence behavior within organizations. Through their research, Organizational Behavior scholars suggest ways of understanding and predicting how these behaviors can help companies achieve their goals.
Course Requirements
Attendance and participation are required in this class. Students are required to take a quiz at the beginning of each class session beginning with the second class (therefore, there will be twelve quizzes). Furthermore, students are required to participate in a team project, which aim is detailed research of a selected OB topic. Teams are supposed to present their research in class. A midterm exam and a final exam are also required.
Note: missed quizzes cannot be re-written.
Attendance and participation: 120 points max
(60 points max for participation: 1-5 points during each of the 12 classes; 60 points max for attendance: 5 points for each of the 12 classes)
Quizzes: 240 points max
(12 quizzes, 20 points each)
Team presentation: 140 points max
Midterm exam: 100 points max
Final exam: 100 points max
Grades
A=90% and above
B=80-89%
C=70-79%
D=60-69%
F=less than 60%
Class Preparation and Participation
Participation is expected in this class. Each student is expected to come to class prepared. This policy means that students have to come to class having read the assigned materials. The reading listed next to the Week number is required for that day. Please read the necessary chapters and class articles by the time class begins.
Syllabus Modification
The instructor reserves the right to change the class schedule, course requirements, or grading criteria based on changing circumstances and events, College policies, and/or class input.
Students discovered cheating or committing plagiarism will be awarded a failing grade

Criteria for Evaluation of Team-Presentations
Grading of Team Presentations
The maximum number of points is 140 points (20 points max for each of the 7 criteria). Each student is graded individually.
