Job Descriptions:

Room Attendant:

Strip beds and remake beds properly.

Clean and sanitize bathroom sink, bathtub, toilets and floors.

Dust all furniture, fixtures, lights, and televisions in guest rooms.

Thoroughly vacuum guest rooms and hallways.

Clean all mirrors and dirty windows in guest rooms.

Replace toiletries, drinking glasses, coffee cups, and coffee supplies.

Report any broken or missing items in guest rooom.

Houseman/Houseperson:

Strip bed linens in guest rooms.

Remove all linen, towels, and trash from guest rooms.

Empty trash cans on guest hallways and guest laundry rooms.

Place all trash in dumpsters and/or recycle containers.

Bring all dirty linen and towels to the laundry area.

Stock maid closets with fresh linen and towels.

Vacuum guest hallways, wipe down chair rails, and base boards.

Number of Positions: 25

Work Dates:

Arrival Dates – May 15^th to June 15^th

End Dates – September 12^th to September 30^th

Male/Female, Couples, Friend Groups: No preference for male/female ratio, couples ok, friend groups ok.

Salary: $7.50 per hour.

Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.

Housing Information: Students are sent a welcome letter by email prior to their arrivals listing options regarding housing. It is up to the student to reach out to the landlords to secure housing Most of our students chose to live in a house which is located close to the hotel. The students pay the landlord directly She provides bicycles for students and the students purchase a lock to secure the bike. Room rentals for housing is usually $90 to $100 a week.

Uniform: You will purchase a uniform from the employer upon arrival. Men should bring black slacks, and all employees should bring black sneakers.

Area Description: Whether you are strolling one of the nation’s best boardwalks in the Resort Area, catching crabs on the Chesapeake Bay, or shopping in on of the areas popular malls, each region of Virginia Beach has something for everyone. During the summer there are fun festivals and concerts every week, and plenty of watersports to participate in, like fishing, jet skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and parasailing. Virginia Beach is home of the Virginia Aquarium, the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Arts, the Naval Aviation Museum, and close to attractions like historical Williamsburg and the Jamestown Settlement. From here Washington DC is just a four hour day trip!
