Research statement

Title: N-(TRIMETHYLSYLIL)-IMINE OF METHYL TRIFLUOROPYRUVATE: PREPARE AND PROPERTIES

Objectives: Activated imines are valuable building blocks for the synthesis of functionalized nitrogen containing compounds. Specifically, the compounds bearing alkoxycarbonyl group at the imine carbon atom are convenient precursors of α-amino acids. Recently, widespread uses in organic synthesis gain silyl derivatives. So, trimethylsilyl imine has not only reactance with nucleophilic reagents but also with electrophilic ones responds to the nitrogen atom. It can open a convenient way to imines with N – P-bond other high electron deficit (not clear) compounds.

Research goals: synthesis the N-(trimethylsylil)-imine of methyl trifluoropyruvate;

describe one;

reactions with N-, O-, P-nucleophiles;

reactions with electrophiles.

Expected results: show convenient way of synthsesi heterocyclic fluorocontaining α-amino acids;

N-functionalization of N-(trimethylsylil)-imine of methyl trifluoropyruvate;
