Journal For Chapter 9
1. What have you learned from the topic/s?
From Chapter nine, I have learned that elaborating, or thinking about and responding to what I read, is helpful to memorize more of what I read and prepares me to write about and deliberate the ideas. In addition, I’ve studied that making inferences is an important part of evaluating the author’s message. Also, It is important to differentiate a fact from an opinion. And the last thing, which I have learned, is analyzing arguments.
2. How can you apply what you’ve learned in real-life situation or what would be the practical application of the things that you’ve learned?
Knowledge, which I have learned from Chapter 9, is very helpful for me. Because you use this knowledge everywhere: when you read newspaper, journals, books, magazines and e.t.c. Moreover, when you dispute with someone, it is important to discriminate fact from opinion. I mean you can win if your arguments are facts.
