1. Read the text and find these word-combinations. Translate them into Ukrainian. Make up your own sentences with them:

8) Sandy was afraid that he wouldn’t be able to catch a 9 o’clock train because he had a lot of work to do in the office that day.

9) I don’t agree with your point of view. It doesn’t reflect the main idea of our new project.

10) Parents were disturbed because of their sons’ absence. Some hours later they were called and told that their children were chaperoned by their uncle Mr. Green.

6. Read and translate the following extract from the text into Ukrainian: “January 11th … Yours ever, Judy.” (pp.58-59)”.
