Objectives:

- to introduce and practice the vocabulary;

- to train grammar skills;

- to teach pupils to write an email;

- to practice listening and reading skills;

- to develop speaking and writing skills.

Equipment: the Power Point presentation, copies of the text, handouts.

Procedure

I. Introducing the topic

T e a c h e r: Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you. How are you? I’m glad you are fine. Our topic today is “School life”. (Slide 1)

T e a c h e r: Today we’ll speak about our school, your favourite subjects and learn to write an email to a pen-friend. (Slide 2)

T e a c h e r: I see that most of you like school and I do hope you go there to get new information. But I think these are not the only reasons why you come to school. Could you tell what you do at school. Look at the screen and make up sentences. (Slide 3)

· In the playground we play, jump and run.

· On the sports field we do PE.

· In our classroom we study many subjects.

· In the computer room we look presentations.

· In the canteen we eat and drink.

T e a c h e r: I was right. You go to school because you like your school and to study there.
