Before doing business with a company you can send a supplier a general inquiry asking for information about the goods he supplies (quality, models, quantity, availability etc.) as well as for catalogues, price-lists, and sample goods. From these you can then decide whether you want to do business with this company.
If you already know what goods a company supplies but need more information, you can send a specific inquiry asking for terms of delivery and payment, delivery times, discounts, types of packing and other details.
The structure of an inquiry is as follows:
Opening (giving the source of information about the company)

Asking for details; catalogues, samples, price-lists
