ARTICLE 1. FULL AND SHORT NAMES AND DEFINITIONS

1.1 The following names and definitions are used in the Regulations:

 

Force Majeure - various circumstances beyond one’s control: earthquake, flood, hurricane, fire, revolution, military coup, national or sectoral strikes, governmental regulations, epidemic and other events that could not be either anticipated or prevented by no precautiousness or expenses
Forms of Documents - unified forms of documents. The set forms of documents are enclosed to the Requirements
“Shishki” Enduro Team - “Shishki” Karelian Enduro Team
Track - enduro race route
Judge - judge designated by the Organiser
Assistants to the Judge - assistants to the Judge designated by the Organiser
Race Participant - motorcyclist registered to participate
Media - printed or online periodical, TV or radio-channel, TV, video, newsreel, radioprogramme or other form of periodical information spreading under a constant name, which has a duly completed mass media registration certificate
Volunteer - a person, having completed an induction and admitted to serve a stage, which accompanies and arranges the audience, controls transport and the audience’s following the set rules and safety measures on basis of paid or unpaid service agreement with the Organiser
KRNYO “Motion Vector” - Karelian Regional Non-Commercial Youth Organisation “Karelian Motorcycle Tourism and Enduro Sports Club “Motion Vector” (Vektor Dvizheniya)
Prize pool - financial part, which constitutes awards for winners and runners-up
Organising Committee - managing authority formed by the persons interested in conducting “Nimble Squirrel 2016” that have all the emerging rights connected with conducting the competition
Delegate/Representative - a person designated by a team/club to represent its interests at an Organising Committee
Budget - the sum of financial (monetary) resources, which is formed from the participants’ contribution, sponsor assets and voluntary donations from individual persons and legal entities, which may (should) be spent on organising “Nimble Squirrel 2016”
Team Sportsmen registered and participating in a team event
Class (Event) Event for which sportsmen apply
Veteran 45+ Class Competition participant over 45 years
Junior Class Competition participant under 18 years
Lady Class Female participants

1.2 All the names and definitions specified in the present Regulations may be used either in singular or plural without losses of their meaning.

1.3 All the definitions in the Regulations are only stated for convenience and can not affect the legal meaning of specific Regulations’ provisions.

1.4 Organisers have the right to introduce changes into the present Regulations.

 

ARTICLE 2. AIMS AND PURPOSES

2.1 Nimble Squirrel 2016 competition is held in order to:

- designate the winners and runners-up of Nimble Squirrel 2016.

2.2 Nimble Squirrel 2016 competition is held as a three-day competition and is intended to assess sustainability of motorcycles and sportsmen’s qualification, is aimed at the following purposes:

- creating a positive image of the Republic of Karelia as one of the most promising regions for developing active tourism in Russia;

- developing technical types of sports;

- creating a communication site, which gathers fans of extreme sports within Russia and outside of it;

- improving sports skills of the competition participants;

- detecting the top sportsmen;

- attracting Media;

- promoting motorsports. Attracting amateurs and professional sportsmen to off-road racing;

- increasing the brand attractiveness of the Republic of Karelia as a centre of sports life;

- creating a truly high-quality sports show.
