Programs Early Childhood Program; Kindergarten Program for 4 and 5 year olds; Lower School Program; Middle School Program; High School Program; Advanced Placement Program; Athletics Program; Summer Programs. ASL follows an American curriculum of the highest quality. Subjects include English, math, social studies, science, Italian, music, art, drama, physical education and field studies. Kindergarten Program; Lower School Program (Age 4 to 7); Middle School Program (Age 7 to 10); Upper School Program (Age 10 to 13). Our broad curriculum gives the pupils, during their formative years, the opportunity to explore a wide range of subjects and skills. French, Music, Drama, Art, Pottery, Ballet and PE are taught by specialist teachers. Day Programmes; Boarding Programmes (Ages 7-18); Nursery; Preparatory School; Senior School; Sixth Form; GCSE Examinations. The curriculum at Stover comprises a broad, well balanced spectrum with the core subjects of Mathematics, English and Science being supported by Geography, History, Music, Drama, French, German, Spanish, Art, Home Economics and Physical Education. There is the "Duke of Edinburgh Award" scheme, and visits of educational or cultural interest, including the theatre in London. A number of sporting sections with their Rugby and Hockey teams being amongst the strongest in the area. Cricket, Golf, Bowls and Squash are foremost among the rest and the club are always keen to support new initiatives
6. Trips Field trips and travel are important elements of an ASL education. From guided walks of the Thames Embankment in Lower School, language trips to France, Spain and Austria in Middle School, and High School service learning trips to South America and Africa, ASL students discover you don't need to be in a classroom to be learning There are regular class outings to London theatres, museums, art galleries and places of educational interest throughout the country. The following residential trips are included within the fee structure: Year 5: A five day science field trip Year 6: A week long expedition to France Year 7: A Science/Geography field trip and a week long History trip Year 8: An Outward Bound course In addition the following optional trips are arranged: * An annual ski trip * A Nepal trek for families * A four-day adventure weekend in Year 4 * French Exchange in Year 7 * Choir lours There are regular trips abroad, such as geography studies in South America and skiing in Europe
