First Year admission

1) Master's Degree Program: People who want to be admitted to the master's degree program must

fulfill the conditions stated in section "Ґ°" and hold or expect to hold

before the end of February 2016, one of the following degrees;

A. Foreign Nationals whose parents are both citizens of countries other than Korea.:

A Bachelor's Degree completed or expected to be completed(before the end of February 2016) in and outside of Korea or have equivalent qualification.

B. Foreign Nationalswho have received primary, secondary and university education outside of Korea.: A Bachelor's Degree completed or expected to be completed outside of Korea.

2) Doctoral Degree Program: People who want to be admitted to the doctoral degree program must

fulfill the conditions stated in section "Ґ°" and hold or expect to hold

before the end of February 2016, one of the following degrees:

A. Foreign Nationals whose parents are both citizens of countries other than Korea & Foreign Nationals who have received primary, secondary and university education outside of Korea.:

A Master's Degree completed or expected to be completed in and outside of Korea.

3) Combined masterЎЇs and doctorate program: An applicant who is qualified to apply for a masterЎЇs program or who is currently enrolled in CBNU masterЎЇs program and acquired or expected to acquired(by the end of February, 2016) 15 credit hours. ЎШ An applicant who is expected to finish coursework in February, 2016 cannot apply for this program.

2. Transfer (ЎЪTransferring Semester: Third semester of MasterЎЇs and Doctorate Program)

1) MasterЎЇs Degree Program: People who want to transfer to the master's degree program must

fulfill the conditions stated in section "Ґ°" and finished or expect to finish more than 2 semesters in the same field of MasterЎЇs course that the applicants apply for in and outside of Korea. (until the end of February, 2016)

2) Doctoral Degree Program: People who want to transfer to the Doctoral degree program must

fulfill the conditions stated in section "Ґ°" and finished or expect to finish more than 2 semesters in the same field of Doctoral Course field that the applicants apply for in and outside of Korea. (until the end of February, 2016)

ҐІ. Criteria for Language Ability: Fulfills one of the following requirements

1. Korean Proficiency Test (TOPIK) Applicants with Level 4 or higher. Or applicants who have passed the Korean Proficiency Test conducted by CBNU(TOPIK Level 4 considered)

2. English Proficiency Test: TOEFL PBT 550, TOEFL CBT 210, TOEFL iBT 80,

TEPS 550, IELTS 5.5, TOEIC 675 and higherЎЎ

3. A person who can submit following language certificate before graduation.

- Korean Proficiency Test (TOPIK) Applicants with Level 4 or higher.

- English Proficiency Test: TOEFL PBT 550, TOEFL CBT 210, TOEFL iBT 80,

TEPS 550, IELTS 5.5, TOEIC 675 and higherЎЎ

ЎШAll the submitted language certificate should be valid on the application date.

ўГ Screening Process (Assessment and Successful Candidates Selection Procedure)

Ґ°. Assessment Process: Document Assessment [5 Levels (1-5 Rating) Assessment]

. • Two admissions committee members (Department Senior Professor and one of the admission committee member) review a number of factors – records of past studies (such as grade points of prior university. Transferred applicants also need MasterЎЇs or Doctoral study record), personal statement, the study plan, a letter of recommendation from prior university professors or Dean, CBNU prospective academic advisor's (or Senior Professor's) recommendation, Korean ability and other documents.

1. Admission Assessor: Two admissions committee members (Department Senior Professor and one of the admission committee member)

ЎШ Department of Architectural Engineering: Three admissions committee members (Department Senior Professor and two of the admission committee member)

2. Assessment Date: in November, 2015

Ґ±. Successful Candidates Selection Procedure: Based on the above Assessment Procedure, Levels 1-4 rated applicants will be passed and Level 5 rated applicants will be failed. Unsatisfied requirements/documents, cheaters will fail the admission.
