· To become familiar with and to maintain awareness of the relevant Company requirements and where applicable, the latest industry codes and standards including statutory rules and regulations.

· To control work activities of the rigging crew(s) and delegate their work accordingly.

· To ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of on deck workspaces and machinery work spaces.

· To ensure all rigging and lifting arrangements for vessel equipment are certified for use in a suitable condition and properly stored.

· Ensure that all rigging operations are performed in a safe manner and in accordance with the instructions given.

· Ensure that only certified gear is used during lifting operations.

· Monitor the condition of all lifting gear before and during use and report any damage.

· Ensure that the workforce is briefed on safety considerations throughout the execution of the work.

· Provide Tool Box Talks (TBT) as required by the nature of the job.

· Perform any additional duties within own experience and capability as advised by the 1st Assistant Superintendent.

· Report unsafe working conditions, near misses and incidents/accidents.

· Assist in marine operations as directed.

 

AUTHORITY

 

· Organize, within the frame of his responsibilities, the work of the rigging crew(s).

· Stop activities if required on safety grounds if to continue could cause any damage or injury.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

· As per Company external qualification and training matrix.

· Basic English.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

· At least five (5) years experience together with a minimum of one (2) year experience in offshore installation or similar offshore role.

 


1.1.1.2.10 Rigger

 

RESPONSIBLE TO Rigger Foreman
OBJECTIVE Safe execution of construction activities as directed by the Team Leader.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

· Ensure that all rigging operations is performed in a safe manner and in accordance with the Company’s QHSE policy.

· Ensure that only certified gear is used during lifting operations.

· Monitor the condition of all lifting gear before and during use and report any damage.

· Perform all duties as directed by the team leader.

· Perform any additional duties within own experience and capability as advised by the team leader.

· Report unsafe working conditions, near misses and incidents/accidents.

· Assist in marine operations as directed.
