“NATURAL NEWS”. Research shows parents of small children more likely to stop smoking if given the right program. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 by: S. D. Wells. Retrieved 15.02.2013 from http://www.naturalnews.com/037483_stop_smoking_parents_children.html

I agree that parents who want to stop smoking are much more likely if given right program. Before this article I know that smoking is reason of asthma and is very harmful for lungs, but I didn't now that the children of parents who smoked during pregnancy have inflamed arterial walls, which is linked to a higher risk of cardiovascular disease, and a long list of other critical illnesses. In our carton of cigarettes we just see: “In the smoke of tobacco products are formaldehyde, benzene and carbon monoxide”. But it is just a small part of all that actually cigarettes contain. Besides of all this information I know that mothers who were given a quitting guide along with counseling advice were twice as likely to quit as mothers who didn't receive this kind of help. Without proper counseling and nutritional advice, 95% of smokers who quit end up returning to smoking within 6 months. The best option for parents is an all natural program, which cuts out all the chemicals, including nicotine.

Smoking is the largest cause of preventable death in the world. Many people die because have cancer, heart disease. In our carton of cigarettes we just see: “In the smoke of tobacco products are formaldehyde, benzene and carbon monoxide”. But it is just a small part of all that actually cigarettes contain. Recent studies have found that smokers can undermine the health of non-smokers in some environments. Nicotine - this is not carcinogenic. If cigarettes and other tobacco products had no nicotine, the number of people who smoke every day would drop drastically. Without nicotine, the tobacco industry would collapse. It is so awful! Nicotine is an extremely fast-acting drug. It reaches the brain within 15 seconds of being inhaled. Scientists say there are over 4,000 compounds in cigarette smoke. A sizeable number of them are toxic - they are bad for us and damage our cells. Nowadays smoking is one of the biggest problems in the world.

"It's easy to quit smoking; I've done it hundreds of times." -- Mark Twain

I agree with experts that a combination works for quit smoking is the best.

1. Appropriate use of pharmacological products. If you feel you are severely addicted to smoking, you may wish to consider nicotine replacement products so your body gradually gets used to living without nicotine: always talk to your doctor, pharmacist, or qualified quitting expert first before using these drugs.

2. Advice and support. Advice and support can help you become more self-aware, identify your triggers and when moments of weakness may occur, develop strategies and contigencies, keep you realistically grounded and on track with your plan, and prevent relapse. Examples include one-to-one or in-person counseling, telephone counseling, internet programs, group support, mentoring, and coaching.

3. Measuring and recording. To help you see in black and white how much you smoke, how much it costs you, how much you could save; also keeping a journal of your quitting journey.

4. Improving your knowledge: Read the science, talk to experts, and learn for yourself how smoking damages your health and the health of those around you. Learn how others tackled the challenge.

Stage 1: Stop smoking (NEVER use nicotine replacement products if you are still smoking).

Stage 2: Use nicotine replacement therapy (having first consulted an expert about the best product and dose for you) to help manage your cravings. Gradually reduce the dose in line with the program you are following.

Stage 3: Meanwhile, seek out and start on a support program, such as counseling or group therapy. Make sure you discuss your use of nicotine replacement products in your counseling so the two therapies work with each other. You must do all this work if you real want to give up smoking.

“NATURAL NEWS”. Teenage smoking is on the rise but the right services can save these young lives. Thursday, October 13, 2011 by: Duke Mansell. Retrieved 15.02.2013 from http://www.naturalnews.com/033852_teenage_smoking_health.html

The numbers of teenagers who smoke grows daily. Being a teenager is a time young adults attempt to learn and discover who they are. Along the way teenagers make good and bad decisions that help shape who they become. Many of these experiences can be mild in scope but some cases of poor judgment can have a far reaching effect on future health. Teenage smoking is on the rise and with it teens' potential future health is at risk. Adult smoking has begun to level off, but teenage smoking is on the rise across the nation. It is well documented that smoking shortens a person's life. Many differences were noted for the reasons teens and adults smoke. For teens beginning to smoke factors included: it being the norm in the peer group or rebelling against parents. One study indicates that a program with a dual approach, including counseling and physical activity, offers an example of what could work. Because of, in my opinion, advice about the dangers of smoking should be done early in life. The government must require to introduce penalties if the person started smoking before the age of majority. I really want to reduce the number of cigarettes produced, because I have many friends who smoke at an early age. I want to help them and I want to reduce the number of teenage smokers.
