GO INTO THE FUTURE

The opposite of going to the past is to go to the future. Many movies and TV shows have dreamt about going into the future for the purpose of brining back technology. If a person or company was able to send advanced technology to the present time it would give them an advantage. If a military wanted to conquer Earth, they could get new weapons and protection. Such a situation could either cause a dangerous dictator to become the leader. It’s also possible that the leader could simply end war by being impossible to beat.

The future will either have excellent technology or just go back to the caveman lifestyle.

ARGUMENT: TIME TRAVEL SHOULD BE ILLEGAL

Time travel is a danger to civilization. There is no need to risk destroying the future just to have fun. If people were to interact with their grandparents it will destroy the timeline and they may not ever exist. Many people have worked hard to become successful and if time travelers change the future, all of that work will be destroyed.

Other galaxies with life on them may be erased from history if time travel becomes possible. A common theme of sci-fi movies is the erasing of worlds by time travelers. This situation is very dangerous to modern people and should be outlawed.

Overall, time travel is a bad idea and needs to be outlawed. If people are allowed to travel to different time periods they will try to do so. There should be rules and jail time for people who time travel.

ARGUMENT: TIME TRAVEL SHOULD NOT BE ILLEGAL

We don’t need to have laws against time travel. If someone dreamt up a law to have time travel banned, such a person should do something more productive with their time. For instance, they could clean the roads or conquer their fear of heights.

Time travel is highly unlikely because if it is possible to change the time we would notice big changes daily. For instance, if you drive down the street your car would disappear and you’d find yourself on a farm digging up potatoes. Every day the timeline would change and you would notice these changes.

In conclusion, any time travel laws should be cancelled because we would notice the changes and it would then be stopped.
