Youth centre “Park In” – 1 vacancy (EI 2011-AT-22)

The staff members of youth centre Park In (Hall) are looking for 1 volunteer who wants to support their team. The target group of the youthcentre are young persons, aged 12 – 20 years. The visitors are form the village and surroundings and spend their leisure time in the youth centre, supported by youth workers. The youth centre offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities/games and infrastructure (e.g. dance workshop, pool billiard tournament, DJ workstation, internet access, skateboard park). Young people who have problems, difficulties can seek support/advice from the youth workers.

Service time: 1^st October 2012 – 30^th September 2013

Profile of the volunteer:

• you enjoy working with young people (12 above) and young adults who are predominantly of a lower social background/education
• should take an active interest in youth-culture, youth related issues and common interests of young people

• like to get in contact with young persons
• assist to plan, organise – together with staff members - youth leisure activities
• you’re preferably 20 years + (owing to the target group)
• you’re enthusiastic, communicative, open-minded, have a lot of ideas,
• you like doing sport activities (soccer, basketball, table tennis, billiard, chess) or planning/organising and conducting activities
• willingness to learn German

Park In is situated in the town of Hall. Innbruck, the capital of Tyrol, can be reached between 10 – 20 minutes by train or bus.
