Should the death penalty be allowed?

What is the capital punishment? Is it necessary for world and society? It is a very actual question, which was thought for a very long time during the existence of states and this issue is still debatable. At first we should understand, what capital punishment is. According to Kartha D. it is an ancient form of punishment, which is based on deprivation of life. That is why it is very important to find more suitable punishment to fight with crimes. The true purpose of any punishment is protection of society and its individuals. Protection against dangerous criminals can be done in two ways – either through their complete isolation or deprivation of life. Whether many opponents of capital punishment think that it is inhumane and putting a convict behind bars is always a logical option than killing criminal, every human being is entitled to receive a second chance in life as there is a chance that he may improve. But can it be called a humane measure of a life imprisonment. Humans should have the right to take away the life of other humans, if somebody break the piece of civilians, the best way of human’s safety is capital punishment.

On this essay I will try to explain it by giving different facts and reasons.

Firstly one of the main reasons for saying that capital punishment is the best way of human’s safety totally connected with stop of crimes increasing. However, a lot of opponents of capital punishment persuade people that life imprisonment are stiffer penalty but in spite of that proponents of the death penalty led some evidence that life imprisonment for murderers is milder fate and the death penalty criminals fear most. According to Altayev O., former head of the team of the death penalty in Belarus, expectation of death is a terrible punishment. It is completely up for the suffering killers have caused to the victim. This is for those families who lost people at the hands of assassins. According to this experiment monster declared that he would be killed, surprisingly he shouted, rushed and finally said that he wanted to live. It means that punishment is feared most high is death penalty and in my point of view if people would know about existing of death penalty it could stop the increasing of different crimes.

The second argument in supporting death penalty totally connected with generating terrorism and crimes in prisons. Any imprisonment, including life imprisonment, can not completely eliminate the threat of public safety. One should note here that there is a danger to prison guards and fellow inmate’s killers. It is true that the death penalty does not affect to the Islamist terrorists, as a suicide bomber is not afraid of death, and being a "soldier of Allah" is ready to take his own life for a place in heaven. Therefore, the death penalty in this case is not effective. One should, nevertheless, consider the problem from another angle in the fact the world has been marked by the taking of hostages by terrorists, where the demand in exchange for the release of other captured terrorists were sitting in jail. In such kind of incidents society lost a lot of several hostages and security forces. One of the mother of died girls said that she realized that in her country there is only the right of criminals. Why would she do a life sentence? And now the rest of her life she should be paying taxes to support the murderer of her child.

To draw the conclusion, one can say that people should think not only about inhumanity for criminals they should think about victims, whose lives were lost, or about the relatives of victims who lost the dearest people. People should imagine tears, shattered hopes and after that they should realized that death penalty is not so inhumane. And on in spite of inhumanity of death penalty and mistakes without right on correction the capital punishment is the best way of human’s safety and revenge for intolerable pain.
