How to get to Greifswald

By train

There are frequent daily connections to Berlin (direct), Hamburg (via Stralsund) and Szczecin (via Pasewalk). Several direct trains connect Greifswald also with Hamburg, Rostock, Frankfurt/Main, Dresden, Munich, Prague, Brno and Vienna (all once a day). By plane

You can easily reach Greifswald through the airports of Berlin and Rostock:

· From Berlin-Tegel (TXL, 200 km from Greifswald) please use Bus no. TXL to Berlin main station (Hauptbahnhof) and from there the train to Greifswald.

· Berlin-Schцnefeld (SXF, 230 km from Greifswald) has an own train station. From there you can reach Greifswald also via Berlin main station.

· From Rostock (RLG, 100 km from Greifswald)) please use Bus no. 127 to Rostock main station. From there you can reach Greifswald via Stralsund.

By ferry

You can reach Greifswald through the port of Sassnitz at the Baltic Sea. There are connections to Trelleborg (Sweden), Rшnne (Denmark), Klaipeda (Lithuania), Ventspils (Latvia) and St. Petersburg (Russia). From Sassnitz please take the train via Stralsund. Please note: there is no suitable bus connection between the port and the train station in Sassnitz, you probably have to take a taxi there!

By car

You can reach Greifswald from Hamburg (from the west), Szczecin (from the east) and Berlin (from the south) via motorway no. 20.

Venue

The CEE Forum Conference will take place at the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg, which is located in the very centre of Greifswald:
