F: Hi, I'm Finn. I work for the BBC in London as a producer. I start work at 9.30 and usually finish around six. What do you do?

M1: I'm a teacher. I teach science at a secondary school.

W1: I’m a receptionist for Camden Council in London.

M2: I'm an English teacher, actually.

W2: I work with the government.

W3: I'm a student.

M3: I'm retired, yes.

W4: I'm a graphic designer…

M4: I teach English in Abu Dhabi.

M5: I'm a student nurse.

F: Tell me about your daily routine.

W3: I get up at about half past six, grab a cup of tea, sometimes some cereal. I catch my bus at about twenty past seven –um. to Bristol.

M4: Uhh, I get up at about six o'clock, I don't have breakfast ‘cause I don't have time. I jump into my car and I go to work.

W1: It takes me about 20 minutes to get to my workplace- take phone calls, look after the staff there, and some of the children. I leave at five and get home about six.

M1: I work from half past eight until three thirty. At 3.30, I finish. I catch the tube home, then I make some food…

M5: I get into work, always have a meeting in the morning. And then always help patients wash and change beds.

M3: Well, normally I go for a walk, and go to the gym every morning, and go for a swim.

M2: Uh, usually I wake up and make a couple of cups of coffee, check my e-mail on the computer. Then I get on my bike and ride to work. And I work from 9 till about 4.30, I'm finished

F: What do you like about your daily routine?

M1: I like going to work. I enjoy teaching. And I like getting home and relaxing in the evenings.

M5: It changes… It's always different, and it's enjoyable. I enjoy my work.

M3: I like the fact that I've got my own free time now, yes.

W1: My workplace is quite near to me so I don't have to travel far.

W3: I love what I'm doing. I love my course.

M4: I like the people I work with. I like the students. I like my job. It's a very pleasant place to be.

F: What don’t you like about your daily routine?

M1: I don't like the rush in the mornings to get the tube.

M2: The worst part is waking up, especially in the winter where it tends to be dark and cold.

M4: There's nothing I don't like about my daily routine. I’m a very happy person.

W3: Getting up at half past six.

M3: I like everything about what I'm doing now. I enjoy it, yes.

W1: When I'm coming back home, sometimes it takes longer because there's a lot of traffic.

M5: Sometimes it gets very, very busy. And sometimes people can be quite angry, or upset.
