H: Hi, I’m Hina. I work for the BBC as a researcher in London. I live in London but I come from Bahrain, a small island in the Middle East. What’s your name and where are you from?

H: What do you like about it?

W8: The sea, the sun and the people.

M1: I like the openness of the United States. I like the fact that everyone comes from somewhere else - that it’s a nation of immigrants.

M7: I like the culture and the people in Estonia and … I like the summer days when the days are long and bright for many hours.

F1: It’s quite different to London, but it is also a multicultural community.

M6: If you live in Sydney, you can go skiing in the winter, whereas in the summer you’ve got the beach. I live only 20 minutes from the beach.

W4: It’s quite quiet. It’s quite serene. It’s very picturesque.

W5: There’s lots of nice shops. There’s bars and restaurants and there’s a nice park.

M4: There’s lots of shops. It’s easy to get around there – there’s lots of transport.

H: What don’t you like about it?

M1: I don’t like the gun culture. I don’t like the dominance of big corporations.

F1: I don’t like the noise.

M6: It doesn’t really have the transport system that you guys have.

W8: Crime and rubbish.

M4: The weather’s quite bad.

W4: It’s too quiet. You get winters where for 5 or 6 months it’s just dark and cold all day and that’s something that I don’t like.
