Microteaching observation form

After participating as a ‘student’ in each micro-training session reflect on the experience using the following questions as guidelines. Be prepared to discuss your thoughts.

 

1) Are main aims, subsidiary aims and aims for individual stages in the lesson clearly stated?

 

2) Are details of the component of the lesson given (e.g. timing, interaction patterns, anticipated problems and solutions)?

 

3) Are stages, activities and tasks logically ordered?

 

4) Are stages, activities and tasks appropriate to the learners and the lesson aims?

 

5) Was the use of materials and/or resources appropriate and effective?

 

6) Was the setting up and management of activities (whole class and individual, pair and group) effective?

 

7) Was the use of English appropriate and effective?

 

8) Was a positive learning atmosphere created*?
