End-of-Semester Exam Requirements

Writing Skills
1.	Language Use Test (Unit 5 “The Virus”)
2.	Essay: a student is to write an essay of 250-300 words on one of the topics related to Modules 1 - 5
Listening Skills
3.	BBC: a student is to listen to an item once, grasp the gist, present as many details as possible preserving the wording and grammatical structures; adequate phonetics, fluency, expressiveness
Reading Comprehension and Speaking
4.	A Short Story Analysis: emphatic reading,translation of an extract, analysis of the story according to the scheme	16 (3+3+10)
Speaking Skills
5.	Topic Presentation (4 min.): a student is to speak on one of the topics from the list given below
6.	Language Use Competence (active vocabulary): a student is to speak on 2 items from the vocabulary notes (Units 1-5)	4 (2+2)
TOTAL for the Exam	40 points
