1. All kids should go through their rebellious phase and parenrs will have to hand on it somehow.
2. In some families when a child gets “F” he is basically grounded: no TV, computer games, no contact with the outside world until they get the grade up.
3. Such a complete block can give the way, but home is not the big house and children’s room is not a solitary and you can’t deny your children freedom and communication.
4. Some parents think that teachers must get respect automatically/ They take the teachers’ side and forget that there are some teachers that can’t relate to kids.
5. All teacher’s decisions must be thoughtful and final. Nobody can convince him to change his grade.
6. At the Parent-Teacher – Night I learnt that my son got bad Math’s grades and nothing the teacher said to him sank in.
7. In the church choir kids with blonde curls and cute smiles were singing “What a Friend We Have In Jesus”.
8. Don’t take it as a criticism dear but you can’t impose discipline on your children. They are not appreciative any more.
9. I felt terrible yesterday. Thanks god I had my throat lozenges. They helped me to get through the day.
10. All students who get bad grades in Math give one and the same comment: “When am I gonna need this?”
11. I feel sorry for that teacher. He is a pathetic phony. All he can do at the lessons is to make the kids memorize the dialogues! I consider this as a lame.
12. The group of second graders in neat suits with blonde curls looked charming.
II. Translate.
