The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) is seeking applications from qualified candidates to fill a full-time position of Program Officer in its Moscow office.

Description of Responsibilities
The Program Officer reports to and works in close coordination with NDI Country Director and Program Director. The daily responsibilities include:
1. Management of ongoing and upcoming civic engagement, political process and international
exchange projects, including:
· Developing project concepts, time lines and budgets;
· Conducting participant and partner outreach and cooperating with program partners on an ongoing basis;
· Developing training methodology, presentations, handouts and all necessary materials for trainings and public events;
· Conducting offline and online trainings and facilitating public events;
· Developing regular event and meeting reports, contributing to periodic progress reports for donors;
· Providing full logistical support to project activities, as necessary;
· Translating program materials from Russian to English and English to Russian, as necessary;
· Providing political, media and other background research to support programs.
2. Providing verbal interpretation at official and partner meetings, when needed
3. Performing other programmatic and administrative tasks as necessary
Qualification Requirements
· Completed “specialist” or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Political Science, Public
· Affairs/Public Administration or a related field is required.
· At least two years of progressive responsibility in program management in civic education, citizen participation or the political field required.
· Native Russian, fluency in written and spoken English required.
· Previous experience in designing and conducting skill-based trainings, knowledge of non-formal adult education methodology highly desirable.
· Previous experience providing consecutive and concurrent verbal interpretation highly desirable
· Interest in civic participation, government accountability, NGO and issue advocacy activities.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to effectively interact with all levels of staff, US and foreign government personnel, members of donor organizations, funders, and policy makers.
· Strong working knowledge of information communication technology (ICT) tools
· Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
