1.1 The factor of Consciousness in the Demise of the Plantation.

Any enclosure in material conditions can be complete with a concomitant enclosue of consciousness.

Indigenous people are those people who:

1) have not yet undergone the material enclosure of the land.

2)have not undergone the concomitant enclosure of consciousness.

The decisive factor in the failure of plantation system has been the resistance of the plantation laborers themselves. In order to make a plantation system work it is necessary to convince slaves to perform hard work in exchange for food, to avoid huger, homelessnes etc.

-A vast number of indigenous Americans were ready to die than to accept this plantation system. A lot of enslaved died either in transport or before they could bear childen on the plantation.

-Many of these deaths were the ultimate failure of the pantation system itself, may be attributed to the fact that most of the enslaved never accepted their condition as their fate and found ways to resist.

-linguistic resistance.

The demise of plantation slavery can be attributed to:

1) resistance of African-Americans of slavery

2) Organitation of African- Americans against slavery in the politic, legal, moral and ideological arenas.

2.0 Reconstructing Colonial Pidgins/Creoles as Languages of Human Agency.

The European powers was not suceeded in aliening indigenous people from their culturesor their conse´ciousness as powerful and resourceful agents of history.
