The two articles, which I review and compare, are both on the Globalization. One has the title ‘The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly Side Of Globalization’ and posted by Forbes under the author Panos Mourdoukoutas. The other one is the ‘Globalization: The Good, The Bad and the Uncertain’ posted by theGlobalist, written by Ian Goldin. The Forbes article states “the bad” and “the good” sides of Globalization more clearly. More facts, and actual examples are given for the arguments. It is more factual and descriptive. The article written by ian Goldin have more content, is more academic, and has more analysis of globalization, it’s effects and what can it bring: “ Recent decades of globalization have created a more interconnected, interdependent and complex world than ever witnessed before” (Ian Goldin, 2012) It also analyzing whether ‘the bad sides’ are really is the bad ones and negative and ‘the good’ is the good. This article also analyzing the side effects of the actions and draws a clear conclusion with the suggestions given, for eg: “This crisis requires an extraordinarily deep level of reflection by global leaders — and by society at large. To turn our backs on globalization would severely undermine economic growth, poverty reduction and global cooperation.” (Ian Goldin, 2012). The article by Panos Mourdoukouts is more factual and descriptive and with certainly less analysis. There is also no suggestion and not a lot of thoughts in the conclusion if compare to another article.
