Its area is almost 10 million km2.It stretches from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Pacific Ocean in the west and northward into the Arctic

The chief rivers are the Mackenzie and the Saint Lawrence. The Niagara Falls and the Great Lakes are situated in Canada. The Great Lakes consist of 5 lakes such as Lake Ontario and Michigan.

The capital of the country is Ottawa.Canada is a federation composed of ten provinces and three territories.

Canada is a bilingual country. Both English and French are official languages at the federal level. The population of the country is about 33 mln people. Canada is one of the world’s wealthiest nations with high income. This country is particularly advanced in the areas of health, education, social protection and human rights.

Its adoption in 1965 marked the first time a national flag had been officially adopted in Canada to replace the Union Flag.
