The Three Laws of the Tango Coast
1. You are not obliged to attend Milonga or practice, even if you have sworn to do so.
2. Ladies are freed from following the given word of honor.
3. Permission Law around the o'clock.

In the shadow of the reasonable and fair laws of the Coast of Tango, charming female followers and courageous male adepts of the Order of the Wandering Tango, joyfully get drunk and inspirationally dance, mutually precautionary uniting together to a single whole - a pair with four hoofs and one heart.

Daily schedule at the special Tango Camp
02.00 - 14.30. Free time (sleep, beach, food, cocktails, Muchacha)
14.30 - 17.00. Practice.
17.00 - 21.30. Free time (sleep, beach, food, cocktails, Muchacha)
21.30 - 02.00. Milonga (fruits, vegetables, cocktails, Muchacha)

You only live once that's why you have to live your life in Sochi. Or at least visit the Tango Coast once a year to dance and feel no shame for another year gone to waste.

In February 2010, an idea flashed to build the Tango Camp on the beach of the Black sea. The land piece was acquired in June, all paper work done by July, and on 14.07.2010 the first bulldozer drove in and started to level down this piece of land in the Caucasus. The first Milonga here was performed on 09.07.2011. There were five studios on the ground floor of the building that we built. The roof of the first floor, made of a flat concrete plate, became the dance floor.

Arrival/The road.

Few words about the location of the Tango Coast. The place where the Tango Camp is located has the name Sovet-Kavadje. It is geographically situated between two railway stations – Lazarevskaya and Tuapse, closer to Lazarevskaya station. See the map on the Tango Coast photo album.

You can take the train to Lazarevskaya train station. The cheapest ticket costs about 2200 Roubles from Saint-Petersburg for the plain platz-cart. Take a taxi or bus from the station to the Tango Camp. Buses №160 and №161 (route buses have the same numbers) ride for no longer than 20 minutes. The bus stop's name is Pioneer.

You can also come by airplane. The taxi costs about 2700-3000 Roubles from Airport Adler to our place, if you order it to come pick you up directly from our village. However, if you catch a taxi right from Adler, then it may cost you far more! We would recommend you to take a local train («electrichka») from Adler to our place – it is faster, more comfortable (no traffic jams along the way!) and it is just 300-400 meters from the station to our place. The name of the train station is «Smena platform». Attention: There is just one drawback - the walkway from the platform to our place goes alongside the railroad and it is impossible to roll your wheeled suitcases... The last electrichka from Adler leaves at 18.35.

Lastly, you can fly to Krasnodar by airplane and take a local train from Krasnodar to here.

Please remember that in the summer everyone is fleeing to the sea coast, even the pick-pockets!

Pay attention while taking a bus from Lazarevskaya station to here. Sometimes it is better just to give us a phone call and somebody will pick you up from Lazarevskaya for only 300 Roubles. By my opinion this way is much more comfortable than the plane, because you travel from your hometown's railway station to Sovet-Kvadje without even touching your suitcases, and to save one day flying by plane will cost you additional 7000 Roubles at least, not to mention the taxi.

Accommodation. We accomodate our guests at our neighborhood houses. Every house in our village is a mini-hotel or a guest house. We can hypothetically accommodate at the same time about 2000 people. The accommodation costs are very low. It is explained by the fact that international trains do not stop here, only the local train Adler-Tuapse does. One place costs about 200 Roubles a day in May, June and September, 250 Roubles in July and August. However, it does not mean that you are going to live in a dog house for this price. Everything is very clean, neat and comfortable, similar to the «dacha» type of living. If there is no way you can live a modest life, then the maximum cost of a suite for you will be about 1800-2000 Roubles a day, billiard and pool included. The most adequate thing to do upon arrival is to leave your staff at our office and to walk around and choose a place to stay. Choose as long as you wish – your things will be safe. You'll be the one choosing, because the offer is way above demand.

Food. Basically, everybody cooks themselves. Owners of the mini-hotels provide everything for this purpose: pots and pans, space in a fridge. It is also possible to talk to the owners and negotiate that they will cook for you. There are cafes or some kind of them in big hotels with billiards and pools. You can also eat at a restaurant or a diner. The food in a restaurant is heated in a microwave. Once, I celebrated New Year's Eve in a nearby restaurant. I liked everything, except for the food... Barbecues, however, are done at their best quality at that restaurant. The price for a barbecue is 60-80 Roubles per 100 grams for a ready portion. The food at the diner is good and inexpensive. One dinner costs about 100-200 Roubles. While renting I ate at the diner; though I can really cook anything for myself (I have got a diploma in cooking). The diner does not work in low season. There are about eight or nine stores close by, not counting the privately owned ones. They have everything that is needed, including the chilled bacon on bones. It's price is around 180 Roubles per 1 kilo now, the lean and skinned one - for 220. Bacon on bones is the first grade meat, I remind you, neck – is the third grade.

Internet access. I bought three modems one after another. Megafon and Skylink modems do not catch the wave here. MTS modem works pretty slowly. The same is with mobile phone operators here. There is a post office, however, in walking distance from here (three-four minute walk) and it has three computers with free internet access, you just have to show them your passport.

Entertainment. All entertainment is in Lazarevskoe, our place is peaceful and quiet. Taxis cost from our place to Lazarevskoe and back 300 Roubles, if it waits for you, then an additional

200 Roubles for one hour. So, it is cheaper to go there and let the taxi go and then take another one back. There are two water parks in Lazarevskoe, three concert halls (with new a program every day, because lots of shows come for the season to make some easy money), it also has swarms of motorboats and scooters, which can drive up to our place to Sovet-Kwadje upon a whim of our client. The distance by sea is about three kilometers to our village. The tiny road up to the mountains starts in a four-five minute walk from me, slowly transforming into the old Turkish road. It is impossible to get lost here. You may even meet a tortoise walking down the road. The whole way is under shade. Pictures are available.

The sea. Water at the sea warms up by the fifteenth of June, this day is counted as the beginning of the Red season and prices rise up to 50% and go down, by the same amount, by August 25th, though what is counted as summer in Saint-Petersburg, continues here up to the middle of November. The thing many people may especially like about our Tango Camp is that you can come here with wives, husbands and children, but lead your own life style. (Of course, you can come as a single person too!) And while the main members of the family – children – turn into salty chocolates by the sea, the adults can practice and dance, turning into the same kind of chocolates in no time. The distance from the image seen on the picture from the house to the sea is just 120 meters, however, this house towers above sea level up to 40 meters, meaning that from the house to the sea you fly like a bird, and back again... there is a bench in the middle of the elevation, next to a waterfall, and you may admire the waterfall. A picture is available. Children do not have to cross the road with cars for there is a walkway tunnel under the railroad to the sea. Visitors and locals usually let their kids to swim unattended. There are shallow pools, created by nature and humans, in which the water in May is already warm and it is impossible to drown, pictures are also available.

Dancefloor. The dance floor's size is 17,2*9 meters. The dance floor is concrete, sanded by me exclusively and filled in with varnish. The covering of the dance floor reminds of a parquet covered with varnish. Before Milonga or Practice a thin layer of paraffin is put on top of the covering. It improves sliding and protects the expensive dancing footwear. There is a pergola mounted over the dance floor. In the future, according to the classics, the pergola will be braided by a wistaria. The dance floor is open-air, considering that 262 days in a year in Sochi are sunny; and all rains fall out in December-January-February, so the probability to be caught in the rain is very small. However, an illusion may appear to you that Milonga takes place under the starry sky of Argentina. In case of rain or a cold night, there is a reserve dance floor under a roof. The size of the reserve dance floor is 4х4 in meters, it is possible to work there in midday sun as well. The size of the open-air dancing zone was 80 sq. m. in the summer of 2011, in the Summer 2012 there will be 150 sq. meters. (The area of zones for sitting, standing, drinking and a self-esteem promenade is not included into those 150 sq. meters, meaning, there can dance with plain comfort 50 pairs at the same time.)

Day Milonga is 100 roubles. It is possible to be engaged without a rent «for a hall» in the afternoon.

As for whose music, I think, we will agree upon.

Milonga. A local lady will be selling homemade, ecologically clean wine and fried cheburekis. If everything goes smoothly, then barbecues and chacha shall be added to the menu, this question was discussed in messages and tested in practice already. Homemade wine and chacha was purchased from the trusted wine maker, so we may keep the same alcohol model intact. Not one Milonga was disturbed by rain in the summer of 2011. Two Milongas were started two hours after the rain. In August two nights were cold and dancers danced on the reserved dance floor. The night is considered to be cold, if the lady's naked body, barely covered by a small piece of fabric, is cold, or if there is no desire to swim after Milonga. Such an order of things is considered to be a doomed night at the Coast.

Festivals are in our plans, but with a modest price only. The main purpose of the Tango Coast is to mutually teach each other for free, but any group can come here with their teachers and work according to any economic scheme, I repeat again, without paying for «the hall».
