Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Tatiana. I’m 20-year-old student of Ural State Medical University, and this summer I finish 4th year. This is the first time I participate in research exchange, so that makes me a bit nervous and really hopeful at the same time, because it’s a great opportunity to upgrade my knowledge of medicine and my English and, of course, it’s a nice chance to meet some great people abroad!

Besides, it’s always very useful to take a look for other countries, other possibilities, that are different in different countries, and it’s very interesting to meet colleagues all around the world.

Medicine is very important and interesting science because it is a science about our health. The quality of life depends on our health. After my studies, I would like to become a good doctor. I have always been very interested and tried to find out as much as possible about different parts of medicine.

I know that foreign technologies differ from Russian, modern methods are used more widely. I would like to see them by own eyes. And studying abroad provides a great opportunity to carry out interesting and useful scientific work.

What to tell about me, I’m well-organized person doing his best if job is taken. Also, I like to find decisions in difficult situations because it makes your brain work. I’m very energetic and sociable person, I like to travel and meet interesting people. Of course, I have a wide field of interest, including watching some science movies and reading amazing facts about our world.

I am very grateful to go to Greece for Research Exchange Program, because, in my opinion, it is one of the most interesting countries in Europe.

To sum up everything, I would like to underline, that having a training course abroad gives me great opportunity to learn more not only in one field of medicine, but to enlarge knowledge of different healthcare systems of different countries, to get acquainted with history, culture and every-day life of the state I will live during my exchange program. Of course, I hope to find many new friends and colleagues from other parts of world. I hope to feel the real spirit of medical interaction without borders the IFMSA provides us with.
