Simple unit plan for unit 1–“What`s this?” (Family and Friends)
Subject: English
Topic: “What`s this?”
Level: Elementary
The aim:
To help children to develop their receptive, productive skills and thinking
Objectives:
• To work with all receptive and productive skills
• To develop pronunciation, thinking, memory and attention
• To concentrate on the concrete theme
• Training speech
• To learn grammar material through inductive-deductive way of Teaching Grammar
• To understand, to learn and to interpret the language material and the theme for free communication
• Instilling interest in learning a foreign language
Monday(Linguistic Intelligence): A teacher shows flashcards with new vocabulary and new words. Then teacher asks: “What this?”and pupils should answer for questions. Also a teacher explains new grammar rule (What’s this? It is..)to the pupils.
Tuesday(Spatial Intelligence): Game: the teacher divides pupils into two teams. The task isto match pictures and new words. The teams which finish the first are win.
Wednesday (Kinesthetic Intelligence): Students play a GAME: they should throw a ball to each other and tell new words.
Thursday (Logical Intelligence): Teacher reads puzzles for children with new words. Children should think logically and give the right answer. For example, It has no tongue, but can tell you a story (a book)
Monday (Musical Intelligence): children should listen to the song and sing together, after the presentation a song and gestures the learning the words of this song with teacher. They should learn and sing only 2 parts of the song.
Tuesday (Interpersonal Intelligence): Pupils divide into 3 groups. They should paint map with new vocabulary.
Wednesday (Intrapersonal Intelligence): Teacher gives for each pupils individual task for grammar.
