2. Помнишь, в молодости наш дед-did был Present Simple, а потом постарел и превратился в Past Simple? То же самое и со времене Present Continuous, которое показывает процесс в настоящий момент. Если процесс происходил в прошлом, то Present Continuous «стареет» и превращается в Past Continuous!

А как можно «cостарить» Present Continuous? Проще простого:

Are/am/is + V + ing (Present Cont.)

Was/were + V + ing (Past Cont.)
