Special Features	NB1: We can but don’t have to use Perfect Gerund: 1. After the verbs: remember, excuse, forgive, thank. # I don't remember hearing this story before (having heard….) 2. After the prepositions: after, without. # I did it without asking for help (having asked…) NB2: W e don’t use Passive Gerund a fter the verbs: need, deserve, require, be worth # The room needs painting. remember	I remember switching off the lights when I went on holiday.	Remember to switch off the lights when you go on holiday.
stop	Stop reading the text.	He stopped to read the text.
