Task № 4. Translate into English.

Забруднення — це дуже складна і серйозна проблема.Люди завжди забруднювали довкілля. Але до останнього часу забруднення не було такою серйозною проблемою. У минулому більшість людей проживали в малонаселених сільських районах, і у них не було машин, що забруднюють природу. Але з розвитком перенаселених індустріальних міст проблема забруднення стала набагато серйозніша. З 50-х років минулого століття люди почали відчувати тривогу у зв’язку з небезпекою забруднення довкілля. Повітря, вода і ґрунт необхідні для існування всіх живих істот. Але забруднене повітря може стати причиною хвороби і навіть смерті. Забруднена вода призводить до загибелі риб і інших істот, що мешкають в морі. На забрудненому ґрунті не можна вирощувати харчові продукти. Добрива і пестициди необхідні для вирощування сільськогосподарських культур, але вони забруднюють ґрунт.____________________________________________

Pollution is a very complicated and a serious problem. But until now pollution was not such a serious problem. In past most people lived in uncrowded rural areas and didn’t have pollution-causing machines. But with the development of crowded industrial cities the problem of pollution has become more important. Since the late 1950'speople have become alarmed with the danger of pollution. Air, water, and soil are necessary for existence of all living things. But polluted air can cause illness, and even death. Polluted water kills fish and other marine life. On polluted soil, food products can’t be grown. Fertilizers and pesticides are important for growing crops but they pollute soil..

People have always polluted their surroundings. But until now pollution was not such a serious problem. In past most people lived in uncrowded rural areas and didn’t have pollution-causing machines. But with the development of crowded industrial cities the problem of pollution has become more important. Air, water, and soil are necessary for existence of all living things. But polluted air can cause illness, and even death. Polluted water kills fish and other marine life. On polluted soil, food products can’t be grown. In addition environmental pollution spoils the natural beauty of our planet. Pollution is a very complicated and a serious problem. Automobiles are polluting the air but they provide fast transportation for the people. Plants and factories pollute the air and the water but they provide jobs for people and produce necessary goods. Fertilizers and pesticides are important for growing crops but they pollute soil. Thus, people would have to stop using many useful things if they wanted to end pollution immediately. Most people don’t agree to do that. But pollution can be reduced gradually.
