2) Presentation of new material

- Children! Subject of our lesson “Present Simple and adverbs of frequency”. Adverbs of Frequency are Adverbs of Time that answer the question "How frequently?" or "How often?". They tell us how often something happens.

Use adverbs to say how people do things. Adverbs usually go before the main verb, but after the verb to be.

Write down in your copybooks adverbs: Usually, always, often, generally, sometimes, rarely, seldom, hardly ever, never with translation.

Hold up the flashcards of adverbs and say the adverbs for children to repeat.

Stick each flashcard on the board in the correct place.(from to frequent to the rare)

For example: I always do my homework. I usually get up at seven o'clock. She often phones him. But generally speaking, most of us don’t. He sometimes comes here. Rarely hear about death’s zone. We seldom go to the cinema. The students hardly ever use the language laboratory. I never smoke.
