The city representative is a volunteer, who works with the FLEX hub alumni coordinator to assist with organization and report on FLEX alumni activities in his/her resident city. The city representative is supervised directly by the alumni coordinator and reports to him/her on a regular basis. The city representative communicates regularly with American Councils offices, providing information on alumni and alumni activities.

 

The goals of the FLEX alumni program are to encourage alumni involvement in a variety of activities, including community service, professional development, civic participation, English language and American Studies. City representatives will cooperate with other alumni to plan activities, which reflect these goals.

 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

· Creating and developing an alumni community in his/her city;

· Coordinating and encouraging alumni as they plan and execute alumni activities (minimum of one per year);

· Organizing alumni meetings;

· Writing reports on alumni activities to be submitted to the alumni coordinator at the end of each month (no later than ten days after alumni event took place);

· Contacting alumni to update contact information using data base forms; sending this information to the Moscow Eurasia Alumni office;

· Following the rules of American Councils’ privacy policy in handling confidential information;

· Gathering information about alumni successes for the reports and other American Councils publications and sending them to hub office;

· Encouraging alumni to contribute to The Bradley Herald.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

· Successful participation in the FLEX Program.

· Previous participation in alumni activities (preferable).

· Enthusiasm and talent for organizing events.

· Excellent spoken and written English and native language.

· Demonstrated leadership ability and experience.

· Computer skills.
