ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

The Rules and Regulations presented hereafter are in accordance with the current rules and regulations of the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA) approved by the Technical Committee and the Executive Board of IFMA.

 

Athlete Eligibility

 

The Muaythai University World Cup under patronage of FISU is open to all student athletes that have not been out of university or an equivalent institution for more than a year, and that are aged between 17 and 35. Entries are accepted from any national federation affiliated to IFMA.

 

Athlete eligibility: All competitors must satisfy the following conditions to be considered an “eligible athlete”:

 

1. Be at least 17 and less than 35 years of age as of January 1st in the year of the event. (i.e. Be born between Jan 2nd 1980 and Jan 1st 1998 for the 2015 MUWC)

 

2. Be a student who is registered for at least one class of study leading towards a degree or diploma at a post-secondary institution.

 

a) Status must be authorised by a certified document or transcript from the registrar of the institution Jan. 29, 2015

 

b) Post-secondary institutions include community colleges, professional schools, technical schools, C.E.G.E.P., and universities, in the country they are representing

 

c) or Be a former student who has graduated from a post-secondary institution as a student in good standing, in the year preceding the event.

 

*Graduation must be authorised by a document from the registrar of the institution.
