I would like to tell some words about an interesting book I read named «The Strange Case Of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde». This is a very famous novella written by the famous Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson, that was first published in 1886.

The story of the book is quite fascinating. A famous doctor by the name of Henry Jekyll has been living a double life since his childhood. Both sides of his character, though, were completely sincere and equal. One day, during one of his scientific experiments, he discovered a drug that could change the physical form of a human. After a long period of time, Jekyll decided to try it on himself, and it worked. The drug completely changed his look. Here we meet Mr. Hyde, who has an evil character, and a frightening appearence.

At first, Jekyll enjoyed this lifestyle, switching between the two personalities, until he noticed that Mr. Hyde was slowly gaining control over the doctor. Day by day the situation was just getting worse and worse, and finally, Mr. Hyde became the main character and stopped the existance of Dr. Jekyll once and for all.

I think the topic of “the split personality” is very interesting, but it’s not often seen in films and books, which, in my opinion, is a shame.
