The Great Wall of China, one of the greatest wonders of the world, was listed as a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1987. Just like a gigantic dragon, the Great Wall winds up and down across deserts, grasslands, mountains and plateaus, stretching approximately 8,851.8 kilometers (5,500 miles) from east to west of China. The Wall ranges from 5 to 8 meters (16–26 ft) in height. The construction period took about 2,000 years from the Warring States Period (476 BC - 221 BC) to Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). With a history of more than 2000 years, some of the sections are now in ruins or have disappeared.

Machu Picchu (from Spanish – "Old Peak") is a 15th-century Inca site located 2,430 metres (7,970 ft) above sea level. Machu Picchu is located on a mountain ridge in Peru, South America. The Incas started building the " estate " around AD 1400, but abandoned it as an official site for the Inca rulers a century later at the time of the Spanish Conquest. The ruins of Machu Picchu, rediscovered in 1911 by Yale archaeologist Hiram Bingham, are one of the most beautiful and enigmatic ancient sites in the world. Two thousand feet above the roaring Urubamba river, the cloud shrouded ruins have palaces, baths, temples, storage rooms and some 150 houses, all in a remarkable state of preservation.

The Grand Canyon is a steep- sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the US in the state of Arizona. It is the largest canyon in the world. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major proponent of preservation of the Grand Canyon area, and visited it on numerous occasions to hunt and enjoy the scenery. It is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The Grand Canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long, up to 18 miles (29 km) wide and attains a depth of over a mile (6,000 ft / 1,800 metres) Nearly two billion years of the Earth's geological history have been exposed as the Colorado River and its tributaries cut their channels through layer after layer of rock while the Colorado Plateau was uplifted.

The Egyptian pyramids are ancient pyramid-shaped structures located in Egypt. There are 138 pyramids discovered in Egypt as of 2008. Most were built as tomb s for the country's Pharaohs and their consorts during the Old and Middle Kingdom periods. The estimate of the number of workers it took to build the pyramids have a wide range from a few thousand, twenty thousand, and up to 100,000. The most famous Egyptian pyramids are those found at Giza, on the outskirts of Cairo. Several of the Giza pyramids are counted among the largest structures ever built. This complex of ancient monuments includes the three pyramid complexes known as the Great Pyramids, the massive sculpture known as the Great Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers' village and an industrial complex.
