My name is Sara Sánchez. I am from Colombia. I am in third semester of Veterinary Medicine at CES University. I am going to tell you about my routine, interests, achievements and my goals.

My name is Sara Sánchez. I am from Colombia. I am in third semester of Veterinary Medicine at CES University. I am going to tell you about my routine, interests, achievements and my goals.

I was born in Medellin, the second largest city in Colombia, and known in other places as the city of “eternal spring”. The city is known for its kind and hard working people, the beautiful little villages that surround it and the mountains that complement the agitated city life.

My everyday activities include going to university, doing yoga, studying and, when I have extra time, I get to read some books and do some paintings. Since I was little I have been interested in art, so I really enjoy doing some painting in my free time.

I studied in the same school all my life and I was really focused on doing well in all my classes, getting good grades and participating in some extracurricular activities. I joined the Math club and the school magazine, in which I wrote some articles, but mostly participated in the design of it. Also, being part of the math club gave me the opportunity to help the teacher and explain to some students, task that I really enjoyed.

While growing up, and even now, animals have been my first and biggest interest, so I’m studying for them. I’m really interested in wildlife and also in topics related to animal welfare. I really enjoy watching and learning new things about animals and nature.

Traveling and knowing other places all around the world has been of my biggest dreams, so I learned English and I attend to learn more languages. Right now I am learning Portuguese.

Though my achievements may seem small for some people, they gave me big gratification. Some of my achievements are: winning for many times in school the honor student recognition because of my academic achievements, getting into university, exhibit some of my drawing in the art academy I studied, to take part of a philosophy congress in my city and talk in one of the conferences, and getting my parents to give me Luna, my dog.

About my goals, I hope to graduate in four years and become a great veterinary. I am looking forward to have my first experience abroad and make a specialization in the field I am interested, which is animal welfare. I also hope to have more experiences of internship in other countries, improve my skills of communication and learn new languages.
