The weather is a subject we can always talk about. It often changes and brings cold and heat, sunshine and rain, frost and snow. One day is often unlike the next. In summer the sun shines, often there is no wind and there are no clouds in the sky which is blue and beautiful. We can see stars and the moon at night and people like walks, outdoor games and sports in the fresh air.
When autumn comes, the days become shorter and colder. It gets dark earlier and often heavy clouds cover the sky bringing rain with them.
Sometimes there is heavy rain, so that an umbrella or a raincoat is necessary if we don't want to get wet through. Then you can hear people say, "What bad weather! When is this rain going to stop?" Many people then catch cold and must go to bed. Then a fire at home is so pleasant. At last frost and snow come.
Fields, forests and houses are covered with snow and rivers and lakes with ice. But spring again brings sunshine and warm winds. Sometimes it snows but snow will not remain long, it will melt in the warm sun. Spring will bring bright sunshine, green grass and flowers.
We usually say: "A nice day", "Not a bad day" or "It's nice weather for the time of the year" if the weather is fine.
We can say: "It looks like rain", "It looks like snow" of "It's bad weather" when the weather is bad.

Good evening,
I’m Angela Jones, and here is the weather forecast for tomorrow, March the twenty-first.
Well, it’s going to be a cold day in the north-west with temperatures around two degrees Celsius. In the north-east it’s going to snow in the afternoon.
Rain is going to move into Wales in the morning,
and it’s going to rain in the south-west of England in the afternoon.
It’s going to be a cloudy day in the south of England.
In the south-east it’s going to be a lovely, sunny day.
It’s going to be windy in the Midlands, and in the east it’s going to thunder.
Well, that’s all from me, have a nice day!

You can watch the weatherman on TV, to find out what the weather will be like.
It might be a nice clear day with no clouds in the sky.
The sun might be shining.
It could be a cloudy day.
Sometimes, cloudy days are just dull.
On some cloudy days, it begins to rain or snow.
Some days are rainy.
You need a raincoat, umbrella and boots on a rainy day.
Rain makes the flowers and grass grow.
The weather forecast might say that it will be windy.
You could have a gentle breeze.
It might be very gusty so that the wind pushes you.
It is dangerous if the wind is very strong.
A hurricane or tornado is very dangerous.
Once in a while, the weatherman says there will be hail.
Hail stones are hard cold pellets of ice that fall from the sky.
Sometimes, the weatherman will say that there will be snow flurries.
Sometimes, there is just a light dusting of snow.
Sometimes, there is a blizzard or a snowstorm.
It can be dangerous driving through a blizzard.
If there is a lot of snow, the streets have to be plowed.
You need a hat, coat, mittens and boots on a very cold day.
Sometimes, the weather forecast is wrong.
The weatherman might say that it will be a sunny day, but then the clouds come in and it
rains.
That is not good if you are planning a picnic.
I prefer sunny days that are warm but not too hot.
I like to feel a gentle breeze to cool me down.

We do not always know what weather to expect. It is more serious when farmers lose their harvest because of the rain, or a sailor gets into trouble when the wind rises. On TV and radio there are daily weather forecasts. Sometimes, the forecast is not quite right as the weather is not an easy thing to forecast. All day and night, weathermen are collecting information from ships, planes weather station, and space station. With the help of this information, they can understand what the weather will be like during the next few days. When the barometer shows high pressure, the weather will be calm. In winter it will be cold and frosty. In summer it usually means misty mornings and hot sunny days. When the barometer shows low pressure, look out for rain and strong winds. As a result of the weathermen`s work we learn about the weather.

Climate has a very important influence on plants, animals and humens. Russia is the largest country of the world and its climate in the north, south, east and west is different. The coldest place on the planet is in the north of Siberia. In the Arctic the winter temperatures are very low. The taiga zone has long hard winters and short summers. Between the Black and Caspian seas it is very hot in summer. The climat has changed a lot in our country. Some scientists think the world is becoming hotter. Many people say that it is so because of the greenhouse effect. It works like this: sunlight gives us heat. Some of the heat warms the atmosphere, and some of the heat goes back into space. Nowadays the atmosphere has become hotter because carbon dioxide surrounds the earth. Trees take this gas from the air, and produce oxygen. People have cut down and burnt a lot of forests. These changes can be dangerous for our planet.

J: Yes, some coffee, please.
A: Tea with lemon for me, please.

J: Good question. I bet you miss Vietnam. What’s the weather like there now?

J: Well, I prefer rain to snow and ice.
W: Here’s your coffee and tea. I hope it warms you up!

Every season is good in its own away. The weather depends on the geographical position of the country.
Autumn
Consider that the weather changes with the changing of the seasons and the first changing season is autumn.
In autumn the sky is often cloudy; the sun hides behind the clouds and then appears again. Its rays have already lost their strength, and the sun is not so bright as it was in summer. The air can be moist. Days get shorter and nights - longer. In late autumn the frost covers the ground at night. As autumn is rainy season, the weather is mostly dull. And of course, we don't like rain of any kind, even if it just drizzles. But there is a spell of sunny weather in late September, which we call Indian summer, when the sky is cloudless and there is a carpet of multicolored leaves on the ground. But in any case nature fades away and nothing can be done about it. I must confess, I don't like autumn, but a lot of people say, that it is the time of harvesting tasty fruit and vegetables, the time of the beautiful golden leaves, the time when nature is very attractive.
Winter
In winter the sun seldom shins: its rays are pale; it sets early and rises late. The air is frosty; large snowflakes slowly fall to the ground; the streets are slippery with a thick sheet of ice, they are frozen. The icicles glitter in the sun; the temperature falls, and snow may fall thick. Going out in such weather is not pleasant, but children enjoy throwing snowballs and making a snow man. Their cheeks are burning with frost.
Spring
But the end of winter the snow begins to melt. Thaw sets in. The sun grows warmer, and soon there won't be any ice but plenty of water. The rivers are in flood.
Nature awakens from its long winter sleep. The trees begin to bud an soon tiny green leaves will appear. Thin new blades of grass come up, the fruit trees begin to blossom. "April showers bring May flowers", as saying goes.
Trees, bushes and fields look magic covered with green carpet. The farmers till the soil and sow the seed. Nature looks full of promise!
Summer
After spring comes summer. In fact, sometimes the heat is oppressive. But people usually like summer because the have their holidays an enjoy resting after their hard work.
In my opinion every season is beautiful and attractive.
