Our second year period we have really interesting subject, which is called musical exercises. So, we have a lot of tasks to do, but still the most important one was to go and visit group fitness



Aerobic report.

 

Our second year period we have really interesting subject, which is called musical exercises. So, we have a lot of tasks to do, but still the most important one was to go and visit group fitness class and of course we should follow the process as usual participants/clients. Unfortunately, I have never ever tried group fitness classes before, even in the swimming pool, while me and my friends had small breaks between tasks, we just replied movements, which old ladies did in their swimming aerobic lessons. So it was experience for fun, I can say, nothing serious and useful. That’s why it was my first real experience in this field.

Firstly, it was actually quite hard to find place in Kajaani there we can go (me and my classmates) and join the group. Hopefully, our classmate Roosa helped us with this staff, because she is working like fitness instructor in Kajaanihalli. So, then we came there we saw a lot of people standing with steppers and waiting for the beginning of the lesson, actually their age varied from 20 to 60, or something like that.

Secondly, I would like to say about all instructing session. So, firstly we began with basic marching, while we were marching, she gave basic information what we will do then we will do it and how. With marching all participants got the same rhythm as an instructor and them we started to do basic steps with the stepper, just up and down. I think that it is really important to start every coaching session with simple things, just for the instructor and of course for the participants to get little bit warmly and understand their possibility to do other things of not (this is for the instructor, because it varies from the age group and so on). After basic steps with the stepper we started to do little bit harder things, such as stepping on the stepper and lifting our knees with the proper rhythm aside, then we started to use our arms also, then we started to do triple knee lift-both sides. Of course we started to use our arms as well. When our instructor gave us little bit harder level, such as lifting the knee for three times and then we changed our legs, according to the direction, which our instructor showed us while we were doing this one. As I think now, it was the first part, so after completing all these exercises, we started to do them again, but little bit faster and approximately for 4 times per each. After our first part, we had small break, while all participants were drinking the water or sitting, Roosa told us, what we will do after this break, she showed us all elements, one by one and only after that we started to do exercises again. So, second block was little bit harder, because in the first block we practiced only lower part, and in the second one we already started to practice our lower part and upper part as well. So, firstly, we started again with step touches to find and follow the rhythm and only after that we started to do V-steps on the stepper with some boxing movements with our arms to the both sides. Then we started to do some steps aside and at the same time we should straight our legs using hands in boxing style. After that we turned steppers and started to do, in my opinion, the hardest exercise, so, we started to basic steps on the bench, but every time(after 1-4) our speed were getting faster and faster and I mentioned that small part of the participants cant follow the rest of the group at all, so they continued to do this exercise, but with another rhythm and with another position of the legs, while they were doing steps on the stepper, as for me, it was really amazing, no one gave up or paused, all group done this exercise! Another one was that, we started to jump from side to the side throw the stepper, of course, as in the previous one, we had different levels of speed. After this “amazing part”, we started to do pushups, as for me as a really sporty person, it was quite hard, just not to do pushups, but I was feeling little bit tired after previous exercises. Of course, while we were doing pushups, our instructor showed us two different levels of pushups, so everyone can choose, which one he\she would like to do. After pushups we started to do basic exercises for the abdominal muscles on the stepper or on the floor, for the lower and higher part/inner part, definitely there were two different levels such as lifting the bent leg and exposed to a bent elbow-unlike ones or straight leg and straight arm. And the last part was my favorite one-stretching and relaxation. In my opinion it is really important to do all these staff, because it helps us not to stretch our muscle on the other lesson, I mean painful stretching and of course relaxation helps to get rid of every bad emotions and to put out stress from our muscles, which worked very hard before.



To sum up, I would like to sat, that right now I understood that to do aerobic lessons is not so easy, like every time people see in the different movies or on the TV shows, because all your muscles are working all the time, just one by one and to follow the rhythm, oh, it’s really hard and to speak at the same time-even more harder. So, after these amazing experience I tried to do this aerobic exercises, while I’m visiting the gym with my friends, because all these things really helps me to get ready for the hard training process and to fell myself warmly, happy and proudly, because now I know the write technique and I can share with my friends my small amount of knowledge in this area.
